Guide to Financial Aid for CDL Training

Figuring out how to pay for school can often be a time-consuming and stressful process. Finances should never keep someone from starting a career they want. Fortunately, at United States Truck Driving School, cost doesn’t have to hold anyone back. We have multiple tuition assistance options for students interested in earning their CDL, including loans, reimbursements, carrier sponsorships, and more.

Veteran Assistance

Several financial assistance options are available to veterans who have served in any branch as well as their families. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has benefits available to cover tuition costs. Among them are the Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) and the Post 9/11 GI Bill®, both of which provide up to 36 months of benefits based on the specifications of their time served.

State & Federal Programs

State and federal programs are available to Colorado residents that qualify. These programs are often based on income levels with the goal of helping people advance in their careers. One of the most popular options is through WIOA, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program, offering services to those with significant barriers to employment.

Tuition Reimbursement

Carriers understand that a good education is vital to the success of their companies and are willing to invest in future drivers. We have multiple partnerships with employers, many of which will repay your monthly tuition when you agree to work for them, offering as much as 100% back.

In-House Financing

A benefit of attending US Truck is our in-house financing. Many students may qualify for assistance through the school, even if other places can’t help them. We allow students to get started with very little up-front costs and a two-month deferred repayment plan. This time frame gives graduates the opportunity to find employment and get settled before beginning the repayment process. As an added bonus, our team is always available to help incoming students through the process!

While many are concerned about the cost of going through a training program, we make it easy to navigate by making sure students know their options, as well as offering our own financial packages. Our grads go on to work for high-quality employers, and we’re proud to help them through their journey.
